PREPARING FOR LIFE EVERLASTING:THEOLOGY AND PRACTICALCONSIDERATIONS FOR PLANNINGCHRISTIAN FUNERALSDate: Saturday, 16 September 202310:00AM-12:00PM.
What exactly is a funeral? How is it different from a"celebration of life?" What readings and hymns should I pick? Should I have it at church or a funeral home? Should I consider cremation? These and many more questions are on Christians' minds as they contemplate their deaths and the rites of the church surrounding that death. Join Pastor Stoltzman on the above date for a special seminar delving into these and many more issues as we consider how best to glorify Christ in our deaths.Emmanuel Members, Let us know if you’re attending by Sunday, 10 September2023 so pastor knows how many handouts to prepare. Fill out pink form at church & place in offertory plate on Sunday morning or email the church office at

November 2022 News
We were blessed to have a new roof installed in October. We thank God for His provision.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker ofheaven and earth. What does this mean? I believe that God has mademe and all creatures; that He has given me my bodyand soul, eyes, ears, and all my members, myreason and all my senses, and still takes care ofthem. He also gives me clothing and shoes, food anddrink, house and home, wife and children, land, animals, and all I have. He richly and daily providesme with all that I need to support this body and life.He defends me against all danger and guards andprotects me from all evil. All this He does only outof fatherly, divine goodness and mercy, without anymerit or worthiness in me. For all this it is my dutyto thank and praise, serve and obey Him.

SOLA SCRIPTURA,SOLA GRATIA,SOLA FIDE.SOLUSCHRISTUS.Sola Scriptura. Sola Gratia. Solus Christus. Latin. Ironic, isn't it? A movement that resulted in the liturgy andthe Bible in our language (not Latin) is remembered by Latin phrases. By Scripture alone, by grace alone, by faith alone. Through Christ alone. Alone. Without your help. Without human tradition. Without anyone's assistance. God acts alone through Jesus. Scripture. Given by God.Through which we receive Christ. Grace. Given by God.Through which we receive Christ. Faith. Given by God.Through which we receive Christ. Through Christ alone.God gives us all these gifts because of Jesus' death andresurrection.
